Last week we had a weather feature assignment for Photojournalism II. The campus felt like spring–students didn’t wear jackets, long-boarded, and spent time outside.
This week, the only people outside were the few who had to brave the cold to scrape the ice off of their car. It rained all day yesterday and then hailed, temperatures dropped, and there was a thick coat of ice on everything.
Cornerstone University freshman Sarah Oosterbaan scrapes ice off her car on Wednesday, March 23. The hail and freezing rain from the night before left a thick crust of ice that covered Grand Rapids.
While scrapping the ice off of a car is a pain, the ice looked beautiful.
